I need help about Grants.?

I am relatively new to the whole grant thing. I am 18 yrs old with a license who is trying to get a car so i can get to school. when ever the government takes taxes out of my checks, doest that go towards grant money? also, can I get a personal grant just for getting a decent car for transportation? or is there any program that will help me get a car? thank you
