Can a MRI Scan be inadvertantly be "Read" the wrong way round?

Had a mri scan on sinus and ears, they tell me that they cannot find a problem on the excrutiatingly painful side of head/face. However, there is a 25mm dia cyst in the front sinus on the other side which, I have been informed isnt a problem. Thanks for your helps.
