What kind of air compressor do I need to use with my texture gun (Hopper Gun)?

I am new to the drywall biz, I am kind of teaching myself to do it. I have found that I have a talent in it, so I bought some of my own tools and am doing repairs. most of my equipment is borrowed but i decided to buy my own air compressor for my gun. the tank is pretty small but the scfm's meet the requirements for the gun. So will the gun work properly for the compressor I have?
