Why did it take so long for Obama to denounce his "FORMER" pastor?

He was forced into a corner, he shouldn't have had to account for his pastor's remarks that were taken out of context, if people would listen to the whole speech of rev. wright then you could see that but People are so media obsessed . . . , what's the use in trying to keep arguing and beating a dead horse, this needs to be laid to rest, ht ere are FAR more important issues going on that need to be addressed instead of this nonsense (i.e. rising gas costs, rising food costs, an economy that's not doing well).
