There are two answers to this question. One is that cardiac arrest is one of several things that are commonly called 'heart attack'. Doctors don't use that term because it isn't specific. The other answer is that cardiac arrest is a condition -caused- by such things as myocardial infarction, and -that- is a heart attack. In other words, cardiac arrest can be seen as a 'heart attack' or as the result of one.
