Whats up yahoo users? Answer my fatsing question!?

Fasting is going without food and water. In my religion we do it for two consecutive meals, once a month, occasionally a little more often. Fasting too much is bad for you. I don't drink water or chew gum while I fast, but I know some people who do. Fasting is to show God that you care about Him more than you care about your bodily desires. It is a way to ask for special blessings or to show gratitude for the many blessings you have already received. While we fast, we put special effort into increasing our spirituality. We pray, read scriptures, etc. No fast is really a fast without prayer. Otherwise it's simply just not eating rather than fasting. Fasting is a way to help you have a stronger spirit to overcome the natural man (your body's desires which are contrary to God's desires), which is a basic principle in Christianity. You aren't a bad person if you don't fast, especially if you're not part of a religion that really encourages it. But it could help you to fast if you have a question or a problem and you would like to really ask for God's help. I have personally seen miracles come because of fasting along with prayer and other things.
